Mechatronics design
Course Information
This subject is aimed to give students an introduction to comlex system design. It is based on systematic design methods. Setting the demands, split the problem into part functions, finding solution principles, combining the solutions and evaluating them. Rules of right mechanical design. Deriving equations of motion of complex mechatronic system by means of Lagrangian second order equations. Introduction to robot kinematics and dynamics. Kinematics and dynamics of rigid bodies (overwiev). Coordinate transformation matrices. Denavit-Hartenberg notation of robot kinematics. Direct and inverse kinematics.
During the semester students have to perform a complex design: automatic door, bath lift, power meter for a bike.
