Course Information

The subject mainly targets the acquisition of engineering skills similar to those being required in the mechatronics engineering; furthermore, it helps deepen the knowledge of the topics discussed during other theoretical subjects. At the beginning of the semester, students make group of 2 to 4 students. Each group chooses a problem related to the mechatronics science which ought to be solved during the semester. Students also prepare a prototype, test it and present their work at the end of semester. Students are supported by academic tutors and it is also allowed to seek for industrial sponsorship, providing components.  Examples of the projects:  reaction time meter; speed controller of a drilling machine, inverted pendulum, image processing, power meter for bikes.
